Description
For the first time this summer we are offering a “hybrid” backpacking trip. What we mean by hybrid is that we will bring a pack horse to carry the heavier items (tents, sleeping bags, food), which will allow each hiker to only carry their personal clothing and equipment. You will have the benefits of experiencing the beautiful Colorado outdoors on foot, without needing to carry 50+ pounds of gear as well. Camping in the back country is one of the best ways to place yourself in a prime position to have a Sasquatch encounter. Current Available Extreme Squatching Horseback Expedition Dates for 2025:
August 11-14: Cost for 3 day “hybrid” backpacking trip (backpacking + pack horse): $1000 per person
What is included? Guide, Pre-hike orientation, Tour of the Sasquatch Encounter museum, horses & tack, Garmin Inreach emergency device, Tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bags & blankets, bear spray/ handgun, Night vision/ thermal equipment, all food starting with dinner on the first day and ending with breakfast on the last day
What is not included?
– Flashlights/headlamps, backpack, personal clothing, Hiking poles, gratuity for your guide (typically 10-15% of total cost)
- For groups of 4 experienced riders only. We can only confirm the trips once we have a full group of 4.
- Age Limit: 18 yrs old
- You will be given a designated meeting point and time once you have made your booking. We will return to the meeting point on day three by 12:00 pm
- Signed waivers + other documents required
- Note: All forms must be filled out and signed prior to receiving confirmation of your reservation.
- All reservations are non refundable 14 days prior to the event.
